The Green Bay Packers‘ streak of good fortune at the quarterback position may be running out. After having Hall of Fame production from Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for three decades, it was Jordan Love’s turn to take the reins of the offense this season.
Early on, it looked as if the Packers had done it again. Love was tied for the league lead in touchdowns through two weeks and hadn’t turned the ball over. But, with injuries to his supporting cast mounting and teams getting more tape on him, his performance has fallen off.
Love has thrown at least one interception in four straight games, crippling any chance the Packers had to win a few times in the last couple of weeks. Accuracy has been an issue at times for the first-time starter, as he is struggling when targeting players more than five yards down the field.
That isn’t a recipe for a successful offense, as the Packers need to figure out how to get Love going. Unfortunately, he just hasn’t been playing well in the last few weeks. As pointed out by Nick Whalen on X, Love is near the bottom of numerous categories this season.
Love is currently 32nd in completion percentage and 24th in yards per attempt. He is 28th or 29th in interception percentage, QB passer rating, on target percentage and bad throw percentage.
This all comes despite being the 10th least pressured quarterback in the NFL. When he is pressured and blitzed, however, the results have been disastrous.

Expect a lot of pressure in the coming weeks until Love and the Packers can show that they figured out a way to combat it. Getting the running game going would certainly help as teams are able to pin their ears back knowing Green Bay isn’t beating them rushing the ball.
For Love, improving in at least one of those aforementioned areas would help get the offense on track. Matt LaFleur and his staff need to figure out some sort of game plan otherwise things are going to quickly get away from the Packers.
