Sky Sport Italia confirms Chris Smalling could be available for Roma against Inter on Saturday.

The English centre-back has been out of action since September due to recurrent tendon problems and has only made three appearances with the Giallorossi this season.

However, his return seems to be around the corner as Sky Sport Italia reports Smalling will likely be called up for the next Serie A game against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma coach De Rossi revealed this past weekend that Smalling had been increasing the workload, so he could return to action against Inter in Serie A or Feyenoord in the Europa League knock-out playoff.

The latest report from Trigoria suggests Smalling has sent positive signals during training sessions, so the Giallorossi are confident to have him available against the Nerazzurri at the weekend.

Smalling joined Roma from Manchester United in 2019 and has scored 10 goals in 146 games with the Giallorossi. His contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in June 2025.
